The owner of the Quarry of gemstones from the Catalan region Artigas, where immigrants from Venezuela were employed irregularly. Six people have been charged in this case, including a lawyer and a psychologist.

The man’s lawyer, Miredi Biscarra, said Underlined that his client is part of a tax investigation that has produced no evidence linking him to a crime. The man was released after 36 hours in custody.

Biscarra stated that his client had no employment relationship with the defendants and was not involved in the hiring, transportation or development of these working days at the quarry.

“Therefore, there was no direct connection that would have led to him being investigated at least more than primarily because he was in these incidents,” explained the legal representative.
