This time another new rule has arrived, and that is that the captains of all teams can announce their playing XI after the draw. Until now it happened that before the draw, both captains delivered their playing XI, but after winning the draw, the equation changed, so now the teams and their captains will have enough time to change the strategy. In this IPL, the tension between the captains and the team may also increase due to time. That is, if a team is not able to complete its quota of 20 overs in the stipulated time, an over run penalty will be imposed. After this, whatever the team’s number of overs, they will be allowed to have only four fielders outside 30 yards. Not only this, during the match, if the wicket-keeper does any act whereby the match is interrupted, then it will be considered dead ball and five runs will be awarded to the batting team. If any other fielder also fouls, the batting team will be awarded five runs for that as well. The decision of the range referee in this regard shall be considered final.

Under this rule, before 14 overs in a 20-over match, the first team may remove any player from their playing XI and include any two of the aforementioned players in the team.
