Gerardo Suero scored 20 points and Waverly Austin contributed 17 with 10 rebounds, in the 93-84 victory of the Soles de Santo Domingo Este over the Leones de Santo Domingo, during the match held at the Mauricio Báez Club.
The triumph of the Soles (7-5) over the Leones (7-5) caused a quadruple tie in the first position of the National Basketball League (LNB), since earlier the Indios de San Francisco de Macorís (7- 5) beat the National District Titans 104-94.
Suero also had 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals, while Anyeuri Castillo had 14 points and Timmy Bond scored 11 and had 7 assists.
For the Lions, Juan Guerrero stood out with 22 points and 8 rebounds, Kelechi Ajukwa finished with 16 points and Eddy Polanco with 13.
Indians 104, Titans 94

Reinforcement Breein Tyree scored 32 points and Juan Miguel Suero got his second triple-double of the season in the 104-94 victory of the Indios de San Francisco de Macorís over the Titanes del Distrito Nacional in a match of the National Basketball League (LNB) held this Sunday on the Mario Ortega roof here.
The Indians continued their streak and won for the seventh time this season and the fourth in a row to put their record at 7-5, while stopping the push of the Titans, who saw their six-game winning streak interrupted and now have 7-5.
The particular series between both teams was tied 1-1. The Titans won the first game 103-99 in San Cristóbal. The series favored the Indians on points difference.
Tyree led the Indians’ attack, while Juan Miguel finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, to reach his third triple-double in his career, while Nehemías Morillo contributed 14 points, Edward Santana had new units and 10 rebounds, and Adonis Henríquez 15 with seven rebounds.
