The Spanish Handball Federation (RFEMM) confirmed the disqualification of the coach of the Castilla y León cadet team and the Delicias club, Joaquín Velasco, for presenting a covid-19 vaccination certificate from another person in the Spanish Championship for regional teams, recently held in Murcia.
The RFEBM explained in a statement that the regulations of the competition, which was held from April 9 to 14, required all members of the participating teams -players and coaches- the presentation of said certificate, with the complete schedule of vaccinations.
After the covid-19 protocol compliance delegate verified on the 9th that the certificate presented by said technician corresponded to the identity of another person, the RFEBM agreed to disable him in a precautionary manner and exclude you from participating in sports and federative activities.
The RFEBM added that since the precautionary measure has not been appealed by the interested party, it has become firm and definitive. The agency also reported the events to the Civil Guard, given that there could be an alleged crime of false documentation.
