The recent graduate said she applied for more than 100 jobs without success

Completing a college degree is a great triumph, but let’s be honest: how many have been frustrated when they went into the workforce and couldn’t find a job in their career due to a lack of experience?

This is the case of Shakira Coldwell, a young woman who said on TikTok that she had just graduated from university and had been looking for a job for a month; something that has become impossible.

“I studied for three years and got a degree in a healthcare profession, but as a new graduate it is very difficult to find a job without experience,” said the young Australian, who has a bachelor’s degree in paramedic science.

She questioned something that several graduates had been wondering about at the time: “But how am I going to get experience if no one will hire me?”

He also said he applied for more than 100 jobs but only heard back from three. He finds the situation so frustrating that he questions whether it’s really worth going to university.

“I feel like I’ve wasted my time at university if I can’t even get a job in the field I studied,” the young woman added.

His statement went viral on social media, with many people saying they feel identified by declaring that “degrees mean nothing today” and that studying “doesn’t guarantee a better future.”

“Unfortunately, in the digital age, I already have the feeling that it’s not even worth studying,” “Finding a job is becoming more and more of a challenge,” “A university degree means nothing,” are some comments on networks.
