The public prosecutor’s office will investigate money laundering in the case of the businessman murdered in Punta del Este

They confiscated the Lamborghini car Gonzalo Aguiar due to customs violations.

The luxury car was parked in front of the door of the villa where Aguiar was murdered by his ex-partner that Monday morning.

In the last few hours, police seized the vehicle, valued at $300,000. The reason is not related to homicide, but rather to a customs violation.

The Lamborghini is registered in Toronto because the businessman brought it from Canada but never completed the required import procedures. At the moment, bail has been collected and held. The fraud investigation conducted by the Economic Crimes Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the closure of the medical cannabis company Boreal will be transferred to the Money Laundering Prosecutor’s Office. If a crime is proven, the state can keep the property of the person under investigation, even if he or she is deceased.
