A convict in an Indian jail swallowed a mobile phone to escape the police.
According to Indian media reports, during the investigation in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, an inmate swallowed his mobile phone to avoid being caught by the police.
According to the police, a mobile phone was removed from the body of the prisoner after the operation.
According to the report, the doctors removed the mobile phone from his body through endoscopy, now the condition of the prisoner is said to be out of danger.
The director general of Tihar Jail said that the incident took place on January 5 when the jail authorities were investigating. As soon as he reached the inmate of Central Jail No. 1, he swallowed the phone out of fear.
Officials said the prisoner was shifted to a local hospital and later referred to GB Pant Hospital for treatment. After the operation, the mobile phone was removed and the prisoner was discharged from the hospital.
Police officials say the prisoner is in stable condition and is serving his sentence in prison.
