The player that Manchester United offered to FC Barcelona

Manchester United are exploring options to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window and have reportedly offered Brazilian winger Antony to Barcelona as part of their move.

The current season under Erik ten Hag has been a challenge for the Red Devils, who are currently sixth in the Premier League table and have come under fire for their decisions in the transfer market.

The Brazilian does not address Manchester United’s plans

Antony, who moved from Ajax to Manchester United for a significant £85 million, has failed to live up to expectations in his second season at the club and has failed to score or provide an assist in the Premier League so far. This has raised questions about his performance and value to the team, particularly given the high cost of his signing.

According to reports from Spanish broadcaster Nacional, Manchester United have suggested the possibility of a transfer of Antony to Barcelona and would even be willing to consider a loan deal for the Brazil international. However, Barcelona appear to have reservations about the viability of this takeover, which could complicate negotiations between both clubs.

With Antony spending more time on the bench, Ten Hag has decided to give young Alejandro Garnacho chances in the right wing position. The 19-year-old Garnacho has shown his mettle this season with five goals and three assists, raising questions about Antony’s future at Manchester United and his possible departure to Barcelona.
