The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball receives delegation from Israel

The Office of the National Baseball Commissioner received this week a delegation of this sport from Israel, whose members will stay for about two weeks training in several of the existing baseball academies in Boca Chica, Guerra, Santiago and Puerto Plata.

This is how Junior Noboa, National Baseball Commissioner, expressed it, who explained that this visit is due to the extensive sports exchange program carried out by the entity he presides over with several of the nations where this sport is practiced.

From now on, Noboa highlighted the presence in the Dominican Republic of these young people, who will be receiving a variety of training sessions with renowned batting, pitching, and defense instructors, as well as physical trainers.

“Once again we are proud to have brother players from other nations in the country, in this case members of the Israel team,” Noboa said about the new visitors to the country.

In that sense, Noboa greatly highlighted the performance of Ernesto Torres Pereyra, Dominican Ambassador to Israel, who without his effort and dedication the presence of members of the Israeli team in the country would not have been possible.

Likewise, the work of Rosa María Nadal, director of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and who has provided an excellent welcome to visitors

The training that these young people will receive is part of the work agreements that the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball has made with other countries.

They also plan to visit the Marcel Bermúdez Academy in Santiago, as well as the complex that Bartolo Colón has in Altamira and then that of also pitcher Carlos Martínez, both in Puerto Plata. In them they hope to carry out blank matches.

During his stay in Puerto Plata and accompanied by the Israeli ambassador to the country, Daniel Brian, they plan to visit the Jewish community in Sosua, as well as the mosque.

Already in the past few months, players from Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, Venezuela, among other nations have arrived in the country as part of the existing pact.

The young players plan to stay in the Dominican for two weeks, and have even extended an invitation for a baseball delegation to visit them in Israel.

The Israel team was participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and even fell 7-6 against the Dominicans in one of the matches held in the preliminary phase.
