According to information revealed on Friday, May 19, BCCI’s Special General Assembly (SGM) will be held in Ahmedabad on May 27. This date is one day before the final match of IPL 2023 which will take place on May 28. No IPL match will be played on this day.

In a report released by PTI/Language, it has been said that many issues related to the World Cup will be discussed at this board meeting. At the same time, there was speculation about the calendar for a long time. So it is said that the schedule can also be announced on this day. It has been said in this report that the venues of the World Cup, that is, the layout of the stadiums where the matches will take place, as well as the organizing committee of the World Cup and its program, can be discussed. It has been said in the Cricbuzz report that after this meeting, the tournament schedule may also be announced.

Of which eight teams have been decided and the name of 2 teams will be decided after the playoffs. Former champion teams like West Indies and Sri Lanka have not been able to qualify directly for this tournament. Both teams will have to play the qualifying round.
