The matches of the Professional League: Tigre-Rosario Central and Central Córdoba-Defense

The twelfth date of the Professional League will close this Monday with two games. In the first round and being a rarity due to its schedule, Central Córdoba and Defense and Justice will be playing from 11 in the morning in Santiago del Estero (televised TNT Sports). While at 8 pm, Tigre will be local to Rosario Central (Public TV).

The cast from Santiago (11 points) comes from beating Central in Rosario (3 to 0) in what was the first win of the era commanded by Abel Balbo and needs to continue adding to escape relegation. Ferroviario is 26th out of 28 teams, beating only Aldosivi by one point and Patronato by seven. Central Córdoba accumulates four consecutive defeats at home in the Madre de Ciudades and the match against Halcón will mark the return of the team to the Alfredo Terrera stadium.

For its part, Defense and Justice is having an irregular contest (14 points) but is on the rise with an undefeated three games, with wins over Independiente and Newell’s and a recent draw against Arsenal.

Tigre (13 points) and Rosario Central (14) will also animate a duel between teams that dive from the bottom of the table and arrive beaten. Diego Martínez’s men come from a 3-3 draw with Racing in Avellaneda but previously suffered elimination in the Argentine Cup against Deportivo Madryn, from the First National, and that setback still echoes in Victoria.

While those led by Carlos Tevez did the same in the Argentine Cup by being left out with Quilmes, also from the Second Division, while on the last date of the League they were thrashed by Central Córdoba. Tevez comes from taking measures during the week and sent five players from the professional squad to Reserve: Luciano “Pupi” Ferreyra, Gustavo Velázquez, Fernando Torrent, Michael Covea and Nazareno Romero.
