Most recurring character in the Marvel cinematic universe (appeared eleven times), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) shouldn’t be left out anytime soon. He last appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where he was present in a gigantic special vessel, belonging to the SWORD. From then on, he seems to lead (or not) the new organization but far from Earth. One of the final scenes of WandaVision suggests, moreover, that Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) will cross his path very quickly. Given its proximity to Carol Danvers in the Captain marvel of 2019 (and it’s Fury otherwise calling him to the rescue in a post-credits scene from Avengers: Infinity War), we should undoubtedly see Fury again point the tip of his nose in the MCU.
And what better for him than to reappear in The Marvels which will regroup Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers ? In any case, that’s what seems to have teased Samuel L. Jackson on social networks evidenced by a recent photo on Instagram where he sports the mustache of the ex-leader of SHIELD with a synonymous return message:
Guess what time is it! Back in the box, just in the “Nick of the time!”
The Marvels will arrive in theaters on November 9, 2022.
