The Federation and Mondelo reach an out-of-court agreement

The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and the former women’s selector Lucas Mondelo reached an out-of-court settlement on Wednesday before the holding of the hearing in a social court in Madrid. The technician attended the appointment telematically from Japan.

Mondelo used in his lawsuit his employment relationship with the FEB throughout his years as coach, so it demanded his re-entry or a corresponding compensation, while the Federation affirmed that their relationship was purely commercial.

Before the hearing, both parties, Jorge Garbajosa, as president of the FEB and Lucas Mondelo and his lawyer on the other, spent just over an hour discussing the matter until they reached an intermediate agreement.

The figure of the agreed compensation is more or less what the technician was supposed to charge for a year, thus closing this matter.

What Still pending is the civil lawsuit on the lawsuits that Mondelo filed against the players Marta Xargay and Anna Cruz for “damage to their honor and false accusations”, which still has no date.
