The attorneys complain to the judge about Bankman-Fried’s condition. The lawyers said it was unacceptable for him to be treated this way. The reason he only eats bread, water, and sometimes some peanut butter is because the prison can’t provide him with a meat-free diet. Bankman Fried is vegan.

The former crypto magnate also has a serious shortage of medication. He gets a prescription called Adderall, a drug commonly used in people with ADHD. According to his lawyers, he has not taken any medication for eleven days.

“Our client cannot prepare for his trial. He has been detained since August 11. We couldn’t prepare eleven days and six weeks before the trial. We haven’t been offered a good solution yet.”
