Doha: Allama Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the prominent religious scholar of the Islamic world and the author of many books, met his real creator.
According to foreign media reports, Allama Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, a well-known religious scholar and associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, died, he was ninety-six years old.
His death was announced on his official Twitter account on Monday. Before becoming a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, he was supported by the movement.
Allama Al-Qaradawi, who has been living in Qatar for the past four decades, was the author of more than a hundred books, most of which have been translated into various languages of the world, and also has millions of followers on social media.
Allama Al-Qaradawi has a large circle of believers and admirers, which extends from Arab countries to Europe, America and the subcontinent. He was an Islamic scholar, jurist and religious scholar.
Living conditions and education
Yusuf al-Qaradawi was born in 1926 and completed his education in Egypt, was associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and participated in the practical struggle for which he was arrested in 1950 under Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Allama Yusuf al-Qaradawi left Egypt for Qatar in the early 1960s and served as Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at Qatar University, on the basis of which he was granted Qatari citizenship in 1968.
