The Eastern Bulls sign their free agent Cristhian Adames

The Toros del Este officially informed that they renewed the contract of Cristhian Adames, becoming the first free agent signed by LIDOM, precisely in the first of said process in Dominican baseball, something historic for our baseball.

Jesús Mejia, general manager of the Bulls, had mentioned since his arrival that one of the goals of the operations team was to retain an important core of players who would enter free agency, including the bullfighting captain and now it is a fact.

Adames, 31, has always shown great identification with the Roman team to the point of being the captain and key player of the Bulls.

Selected in the 2011 draft, he was the winner of the “Rookie of the Year” award in the 2014-15 season and batting leader AVG .353 that same season with 59 hits (leader).

He has also won two gold gloves during his stay with the Bulls, the only team for which he has played in Dominican baseball, only excepting the 2021 season when he reinforced the Águilas Cibaeñas in the all against all.

For life in Dominican ball, Adames has a .262/.342/.347 offensive line, with 41 doubles, 9 triples, 7 home runs and 86 RBIs in 272 games.

In the playoffs he hits .277/.367/.346 in 59 games.

Earlier in the day, the Toros had announced the signing of free agent Rubby De la Rosa, a right-handed pitcher with Major League Baseball and Japanese baseball experience.
