The CEO of the Super League refuses to be president of the Bundesliga

The Bundesliga is looking for a president. The German league was presided over on an interim basis by Axel Hellmann and Oliver Leki, who will leave the position next July. And it was planned that his relief would be nothing less than Bernd Reichart, CEO of A22, the company that promotes the Super League, but the former leader of the RTL chain has rejected the offer to continue focusing on his project for a new European competition.

Speaking to DPA, Reichart assured that he was “working internationally on the sustainability of European football. I am not available for work in the DFL”, thus making it clear that the Super League project is still very much alive.
