Karachi: National Airlines (PIA) has been granted direct flights to Australia.
According to the details, good news has arrived for Pakistanis living in Australia, the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority has allowed PIA to land direct flights to Australia.
PIA has also completed preparations for the launch of direct flights to Australia. The first flight in this regard will take off on April 22 from Lahore to PK 9808 Sydney.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the PIA flight will depart from Sydney to Lahore on April 24, the national airline will operate one weekly flight from Lahore, and will use Boeing 777 long range for Australia. In the second phase, the flight from Karachi to Sydney will start.
The spokesman said that the launch of a direct flight to Australia would enable compatriots to travel before Eid, and would allow Pakistanis residing in Australia to celebrate Eid in their own way.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the 35-hour direct flight to Australia will take 12 hours.
