The Asian Cup schedule was delayed again due to PCB's insistence! Find out what the latest update is

There is a dispute between BCCI and PCB regarding the Asian Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board has once again made a U-turn in Asia Cup 2023. At the same time, talks will take place between Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Zaka Ashraf and BCCI Secretary Jai Shah, to discuss the situation and resolve the issue. Actually, Zaka Ashraf recently became the new head of PCB. But it is said that he is not happy with the proposed schedule for the Asian Cup. Apart from Pakistan, the 2023 Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka, but the PCB’s new requirement is that all matches in the tournament be played on Pakistani soil.

It was believed that the Asian Cup schedule could be published this week, but now it is possible to announce the schedule after the match between Jai Shah and Zaka Ashraf. At the same time, Pakistani Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari rejected the hybrid model. While the hybrid model for the Asian Cup was suggested by then PCB boss Najam Sethi, now the PCB has reversed its decision. In a conversation with The Indian Express, Pakistani Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari said that since Pakistan is hosting the 2023 Asia Cup, all matches in the tournament must be played on Pakistani soil.

Pakistani Sports Minister Ahsan Mazari has made it clear that he does not want a hybrid model. But if the Indian team will not go to Pakistan to play the Asian Cup, then the Pakistan team will not go to India to play the 2023 World Cup. He also said that if India needs a neutral venue for the Asian Cup, then too we need a neutral venue for the World Cup.
