New Delhi: An Indian court has convicted Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik in a terrorist financing case.
According to details, the Indian court took another step against Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik. The Indian court indicted Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik.
The special court indicted Yasin Malik in a terrorism financing case and also sought an affidavit regarding financial assets.
Indian media say that the Hurriyat leader has been brought to the court under tight security. Hearing for arguments on the sentence will be held on May 25.
It may be recalled that Yasin Malik was found involved in other charges including financing of terrorists last Tuesday.
Kashmir Affairs Adviser Qamar Zaman Kaira strongly condemned the conviction of Yasin Malik by an Indian court and said that it was unfortunate that Yasin Malik was convicted on baseless allegations.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said that every state institution of India is following Hindutva thinking, leaders like Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhatt have been judicially assassinated, Indian justice system is being held hostage by Hindu extremist government.
He further said that despite keeping Yasin Malik in Tihar Jail for years, he could not break his resolve.
