According to the Ministry of Health of Syria, more than 600 people have been killed in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and Tartus, while more than 1,000 have been injured. Dozens of buildings have been destroyed. Relief operations are also facing difficulties in war-torn Syria.
On the other hand, more than 80 aftershocks have occurred in the affected area, one of which was recorded with a magnitude of 7.5.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has imposed a state of emergency across the country, while educational institutions have also been closed in 10 provinces. He has also sought help from friendly countries.

After the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the international community expressed its condolences to the victims. Azerbaijan, NATO and the European Union sent rescue teams to Turkey, Ukraine and Russia also offered support to Turkey.
The United States and the United Kingdom also announced to send aid to Turkey affected by the earthquake, the Arab League has appealed to the international community to help Turkey and Syria.
