FIP Platinum Semi-Finals: Momo González and Edu Alonso Secure Spot in Sardinia
The FIP Platinum tournament has reached its semi-final stage, with surprising results and exciting matchups. Momo González and Edu Alonso have secured their spot in the final, while Marta Marrero and Aranza Osoro are also vying for the title.
Men’s Semi-Finals
Momo González and Edu Alonso have advanced to the final after defeating Fran Guerrero and Javi García Mora in two sets (6-2/6-4). The duo played at a high level, showcasing their solvency against rivals who were coming off a positive week.
Their opponents in the final will be Lijó and Cepero, who have surprised everyone by reaching the final. They defeated the number one players in the tournament, Bela and Garrido, in the semi-finals, and then swept aside Alex Arroyo and Gonzalo Rubio 6-4/7-5.
Women’s Semi-Finals
Marta Marrero and Aranza Osoro have also secured their spot in the final, defeating Marina Guinart and Victoria Iglesias in three sets (6-3/2-6/6-4). Marrero’s performance is a testament to her incredible form, having already had some impressive tournaments in previous weeks.
The favorite couple, Riera and Goenaga, were unable to win and will remain in the semi-finals after being beaten by Carolina Orsi and Nuria Rodríguez.
