The Portuguese airline PLAYwas the victim of an attack by data hijacking made by the Ragnar Locker group in August 2022. The result? Significantly, 581 Gigabytes (GB) of data, corresponding to 1.5 million customer data, is in the hands of criminals.
The worst of all? The data stolen from TAP is already in the most famous database of computer attacks after, due to the non-payment of the requested ransom, the hackers shared this collection. In this way, about 5 million email addresses and more sensitive information were exposed.
