Tania Álvarez (7-0-0, 1 KO) adds another victory before playing the national. The boxer from Team Toni Moreno has been named an official contender for the Spanish Featherweight Championship, and this weekend she has achieved another victory in the ring. The violence defeated the Galician Yaiza Souto (0-4-0, 0 KO) by TKO in the fifth round last Friday at the Casal Cultural de Castellbisbal, Barcelona.
Tania Álvarez maintains her undefeated status and gets her first KO as a professional. The Catalan boxer was much superior throughout the fight. She threw hard combinations in the clash, until the referee stopped it in the fifth round due to the advantage she held over Souto. “During the fight I have seen myself superior at all times, but I notice that I have to work even more because the KO could have been given much earlier”, comments Tania.
The belt is getting closer. Tania Álvarez is an official contender for the title, and the current featherweight champion, the Valencian Sheila Martínez (3-3-0, 1 KO), will leave the crown to contest the European Championship of the category. She will face Italian Anna Lisa Brozzi (4-2-0, 2 KO) in her first title defense. She will soon be proclaimed another contender to fight for the belt.
