Taliban crackdown on illegal immigrants

The Taliban government has arrested dozens of people who have fled the country illegally.

According to the news agency, the Taliban stopped dozens of people, including women, at the airport trying to go abroad illegally.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said a group was trying to go abroad illegally but was stopped.

He said that people trying to flee from Mazar-e-Sharif airport illegally have been arrested, including women and their male relatives are being awaited.

Zabihullah Mujahid also said that most of the people have been released but these women will not be released till their male relatives come to pick them up.

According to a conservative estimate, after the Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan, the United States expelled about 124,000 Americans, Afghans and citizens of other countries from Afghanistan.

The news agency says that most of the 1450 children were brought to the United States without their parents while 250 Afghan children who have been transferred to the United States have no family members.
