Taliban announce end of war in Afghanistan

The Taliban captured Kabul 20 years later and declared an end to the war in Afghanistan.

Spokesman Sohail Shaheen stated in the morning that the Taliban have been instructed not to enter any house without permission and not to harm anyone’s life, property and honor. We want peace in Afghanistan, so no one should be afraid of us or leave the country.

Surah Al-Nasr and Durood Sharif were recited at the Afghan Presidential Palace.

Another spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, assured all embassies that there was no threat to foreigners in Kabul, while leader Mullah Abdullah Ghani Baradar said it was time for a real test for the Taliban.

On the other hand, those who left Afghanistan have caused a commotion at the Kabul airport. US forces fired into the air to disperse the crowd, killing five people.

British and German diplomatic staff are located near Kabul airport. Diplomatic personnel are issuing visas to Afghan citizens assisting NATO forces. NATO officials have suspended passenger flights and only military aircraft are allowed to fly.
