Suddenly the sky turned red in Turkey, citizens panicked

ANKARA: A forest fire in the Turkish resort of Marmaris has turned the skies red, causing panic among citizens.

According to details, a forest fire broke out in Marmaris, a tourist destination in Turkey, which turned the sky red.

The fire is spreading rapidly due to hot weather and strong winds and has engulfed a large area, causing panic among the citizens.

The government has declared a state of emergency and evacuated all the surrounding houses and relocated 70 families to safety.

1500 firefighters, 360 fire brigades, 20 helicopters and 14 planes are trying to prevent the fire from spreading, but timely rescue measures did not cause any casualties.

The forest minister said the fire had been contained to a large extent but there was a possibility of it spreading again due to strong winds.

Local prosecutor Mehmet Nader said an investigation had been launched into the cause of the blaze and all angles were being considered. Then accidentally flammable materials are left in the forest.

Last year, four people were killed and more than 180 were injured in a series of fires in Turkey’s southern coastal region, while thousands of hectares of forest were destroyed and reduced to ashes.

Climate change and unprecedented heat and drought are the main causes of wildfires in the Mediterranean region, which last summer displaced thousands of people and caused extensive damage.
