The series Star wars on Disney +, apart from The Mandalorian, take time to build. They are the result of a huge turnaround at Lucasfilm concerning the marketing strategy of the saga Star wars, the fault attributed to the monumental flop of Solo: A Star Wars Story (nearly $ 400 million in revenue for a budget of $ 275 million excluding marketing costs). The strategy seems clear: to develop a new cinematic saga without rushing, driven by Taika Waititi and multiply the series Disney +.
Thereby, Cassian Andor, one of the protagonists of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will know his own series just like Obi-wan kenobi, which recently finished filming or a 100% feminist show driven by Leslye Headland. Andor will begin long before the events of Rogue One since the film of Gareth Edwards ends with the character’s death.
The person in charge of the visual effects of the series, Neal Scanlan, had already reminded the media Movieweb that a battery of secondary characters would appear in the show:

Diego luna, the main actor, validated this direction given to Andor since he also confided to Deadline, the presence of some cameos that are sure to thrill fans (as much as Luke’s in The Mandalorian?) :
“You will certainly see familiar faces“.
The series has already scheduled the return of Saw Guerrera (Forest Whitaker) and rumors suggest the presence ofObi-wan kenobi, while the timelines of the two series should collide. It is therefore not impossible to see the famous Jedi master surveying the adventures of Cassian Andor.
The rest of the cast of Cassian Andor will be composed of Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller or Robert Emms. For now, no release date has been announced, but the series should land on Disney + in 2022.
