Squash seeks to strengthen this sport in the Dominican Republic

The Pan American Squash Federation (FPS) has announced its interest in strengthening the practice of this sport in the Dominican Republic.

The president of that organization, Mr. Francisco Paradisi, and Sergio Becerra, vice president of the FPS, paid a visit to the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) where they were received by the engineer Garibaldy Bautista, president of that entity, and the lawyer Luis Chanlatte, secretary General, to talk about the promotion and development of squash in the country.

Paradisi and Becerra were accompanied by Hugo and Gonzalo Tapiz, from the Dominican Squash Association, while Bautista and Chanlatte were assisted by doctor Neftalí Santana.

The meeting lasted several minutes and then the visitors met in an aside with Dr. Santana.

The FPS is interested in strengthening squash in the Dominican Republic and in the first instance wants the country to take part in the next XIX Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

Currently, in the facilities of the Boddy Shop club, in the Arroyo Hondo sector, a tournament of this sport is taking place, which will end this Wednesday.
