Spotify has launched a new feature providing users with weekly insights into their listening habits, moving beyond its popular annual “Wrapped” report to offer more frequent personalized data.
This new functionality, available to both free and Premium subscribers, acts as a “mini Wrapped.” It generates a concise report every seven days, highlighting the most played song and top artist. The data covers the most recent four-week period.
The platform stated that while these weekly statistics offer specific insights, they are not as comprehensive as the yearly Wrapped report. Users seeking a full annual overview of their listening will still need to await the traditional end-of-year summary.
These weekly reports enable users to observe how their musical preferences and listening patterns evolve over time. While not overly detailed, the feature provides engaging data points. For example, it can show streaks of consecutive days listening to the same artist. It also indicates if a user was among the first to play a new song after its release. Additionally, it lists the top five most-listened artists of the week.
Accessing the weekly statistics is straightforward within the Spotify mobile application for iPhone and Android devices. Users can tap on their profile picture, typically located in the top-left corner of the interface. A new menu section titled “Listening Statistics” will then appear.
Within this section, information for the past four weeks is presented, divided into seven-day intervals. Beyond individual song and artist data, the feature offers playlists curated with similar or related artists. Spotify also includes a one-tap option for users to share their weekly listening statistics.
The company confirmed that this new feature is rolling out across 60 countries globally. Specific countries were not detailed, but users in regions like Portugal are already seeing the update. Availability may be staggered, and users are advised to update their Spotify application to the latest version to access the new functionality.
