Sports journalist and chronicler Julio Reyes dies

The petromacorisano sports journalist and chronicler Julio Pablo Reyes Alonzo died last Wednesday night, at the age of 57, after suffering from serious health disorders.

Julio Reyes was a native of the Placer Bonito neighborhood.

He studied at the Escuela Nacional de LocuciĆ³n, and before emigrating to the United States, he worked for various local media and also for the newspaper ListĆ­n Diario, with national circulation, becoming president of the Association of Sports Writers of San Pedro de MacorĆ­s.

Reyes, at the end of 2021, suffered a stroke that kept him in a delicate state of health since then until his death this Wednesday in the city of Maryland, United States where he lived for many years.
