The petromacorisano sports journalist and chronicler Julio Pablo Reyes Alonzo died last Wednesday night, at the age of 57, after suffering from serious health disorders.

Julio Reyes was a native of the Placer Bonito neighborhood.

He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Locución, and before emigrating to the United States, he worked for various local media and also for the newspaper Listín Diario, with national circulation, becoming president of the Association of Sports Writers of San Pedro de Macorís.

Reyes, at the end of 2021, suffered a stroke that kept him in a delicate state of health since then until his death this Wednesday in the city of Maryland, United States where he lived for many years.
