Spain has completed its participation in the qualifier for the 2023 Mixed Doubles World Championship held in Dumfries (Scotland), obtaining a place in the highest international division. Oihane Otaegi and Mikel Unanue have closed a perfect tournament, unbeaten after seven games.
In their initial challenge within the event, the national couple finished first in Group D after beating Turkey, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Slovakia and Croatia. Qualified for the playoff that awarded the ticket to the World Cup, Oihane and Mikel today defeated France (2-9) first and then the Netherlands (9-7) in the decisive match.
