Spain kicks off title defense with win over Italy

The Spanish women’s roller hockey team made its debut this Tuesday with a victory against Italy (6-0) in the European Championship, which is being held in Luso (Portugal) and in which those of Ricard Muñoz defend the title.

In a brilliant start, with the transalpinas posing a very physical game, Marta Borràs deflected in the minute 13 a shipment from Casarramona to score the first Spanish goal in the continental tournament.

Already in the second half, the captain of the national team, Anna Casarramona, extended the rent after two minutes, and the Asturian Sara Roces scored the third goal after a great individual play shortly after.

Even so, Spain continued to insistently search for the Italian goal and Casarramona, Puigdueta and Roces put the final 6-0. The women’s national team will play its second game on Wednesday against the England team.
