Sourav Ganguly says that Rohit Sharma became captain of Team India because of him. In 2021, Rohit Sharma was named captain of Team India in the limited-overs format in place of Virat Kohli. In January 2022, Virat Kohli also announced that he would be stepping down as Test format captain. After this, Rohit Sharma will captain Team India in all three formats.
