WE ARE Community Care carried out its traditional delivery of turkeys in different New York neighborhoods, within the framework of the celebration of Thanksgiving, it is a tradition on the last Thursday of November, where the prominent Dominican baseball player Nelson Cruz was present, who also is the general manager of the Dominican Republic team for the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Likewise, all the personnel who work in this network of doctors, specialists, who provide high-quality care centered on the patient in a comprehensive manner, were also treated to a delicious lunch.
More than five thousand turkeys were donated to people from Inwood, Marble Hill, and other places in the city, who counted on this benefit that for 20 years in a row SOMOS Community Care has done during Thanksgiving celebrations.
“Each year SOMOS Community Care comes together to share with the people of New York neighborhoods, its employees, charitable places of residence for the elderly and with the community to bring a little joy in the week of Thanksgiving”, said the doctor. Ramón Tallaj, president of SOMOS Community Care.
Also pointing out the following: “We realize that the food we distribute feeds thousands of people who cannot afford it. That is why we are very happy to help”.
Meanwhile, Ramón Tallaj Ureña, son of Dr. Tallaj, added that this social event aims to provide thousands of people with turkey on Thanksgiving.
Baseball player Nelson Cruz thanked God for being present at this activity that brought together thousands of people who attend this activity every year.
"We are very happy to be sharing with all of you and receiving these turkeys"said one of the community members who came to receive this donation.
Dr. Ramón Tallaj finally said that he was very flattered because SOMOS Community Care once again complied with this humanitarian action.
