Somalia News: There is news of a bomb blast in the African country of Somalia. At least 19 people were killed and 23 injured in separate bombings in two cities in southern Somalia. According to media reports, in the first incident, a suicide bomber blew himself up in the town of Marka in the Lower Shabele region, killing 13 people and injuring five others.

12 killed in explosion

Ibrahim Adan Ali Naja, governor of the Lower Shabele region, said district commissioner Abdullahi Ali Wafo was among the victims of the bombing in Marka. Naja said late on Wednesday that Wafo was killed along with 12 other people whom he was talking to outside his office in the blast. Al-Shabaab terrorist has claimed responsibility for the attack in the city of Marka.

The second attack took place in the city of Afgoy in Somalia.

In the second attack, six people were killed and 18 injured in two roadside explosions at a local market in Afgoy town in the same area.
Abdukadir Idol, a former spokesman for the Afgoy district administration, who was present at the scene, said two remotely controlled landmines exploded in the crowded market. Idol noted that the second explosion occurred minutes later and targeted people engaged in rescue operations.

“At least six people were killed, mostly civilians, and 18 others were injured in the twin attacks using remote. controlled explosive devices at the cattle market in Afgoe,” he told the media. People come in numbers who buy livestock.
