The Solana (SOL) network has again faced problems that caused it to go offline for some time. Last night it became clear that Solana was no longer available. The network eventually went offline for about four hours due to a bug. Due to this bug, Solana stopped producing transactions. Solana developer and co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko explained what was going on:

After four hours, the validators from the network to restart Solana. Reportedly, however, many nodes would still come online. So it will take some time before the network is fully restored.
Validator operators successfully completed a cluster restart of Mainnet Beta at 9:00 PM UTC, following a roughly 4 and a half hour outage after the network failed to reach consensus. Network operators and dapps will continue to restore client services over the next several hours.

The umpteenth time Solana goes offline
Despite the fact that no crypto was lost, Solana has been criticized for the problems. A blockchain network should be online at all times, which should be one of its strengths compared to centralized solutions.
