Shubman Gill snatched Orange Cap from Duplessis, made a record by scoring a century against Mumbai

The second qualifying match of the season is currently being played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Ahmedabad Stadium. In this match, the player of the Gujarat team, Shubman Gill, has left Faf du Plessis behind in the Orange Cap race, continuing his excellent form. Gill is now almost certain to win the Orange Cap this season.

Shubman Gill has been in excellent form since the beginning of this year. Gill’s bat has seen a century in all three formats in international cricket this year. The second qualifying match saw an excellent 129-run inning under Shubman Gill’s bat. With this, he has now scored 851 runs in 16 innings this season at an average of 60.79. Gill has now become the seventh player to score a century in playoff matches. Previously, Murali Vijay, Virender Sehwag, Wriddhiman Saha, Shane Watson, Jos Buttler and Rajat Patidar have done this feat.
