Shubman Gill reaches fourth in ODI batting rankings, find out what number Virat Kohli is at

The young opening batsman for the Indian team, Shubman Gill, reached the fourth position in the latest ODI batting rankings published by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Since early 2015, Gill has seen a strong performance in the limited overs format, which also saw a double century with his bat in ODIs.

In the latest ranking published by the ICC on April 5, Shubman Gill has achieved a career best ODI ranking, in which he currently has 738 rating points in fourth place. Currently in first place in the ODI batting rankings is Pakistan captain Babar Azam with 887 rating points.

For Shubman Gill, the 3 match ODI series against Australia that ended last month was nothing special with the bat, in which he was only able to score a total of 57 runs. Apart from this, 3 centuries have been seen in ODIs so far this year since Gill’s bat.

Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli also reached the sixth position in the ODI batting rankings, in which Kohli, who has scored a total of 427 runs on the basis of 2 centuries and a half-innings so far, of the year, has a total of 719 rating points. At present, the third Indian player in the top 10 in the ICC ODI Rankings includes captain Rohit Sharma, who sits in eighth position, with a total of 707 rating points.

Talking about the bowling rankings in ODI, Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has managed to salvage his No. 3 position. At present, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood holds the top spot in the bowling rankings while the team’s fast bowler New Zealand’s Trent Bould ranks second.
