Shreyas Iyer ruled out of ODI series against Australia, big blow for Team India

After the completion of the 4-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, now both teams will play a 3-match ODI series, the first match of which will be played on March 17 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Shreyas Iyer, part of the Indian team in this ODI series, has been ruled out of the squad due to back injury, which was confirmed by the Indian team’s outfield coach T. Dileep through his statement.

There are also reports about Iyer’s injury that he may not be seen playing on the pitch in the first half of the upcoming season (IPL) 2023. In such a situation, it can be considered a huge blow for the Kolkata Knight Riders team, since they must announce the new team captain before the start of the season. At the same time, the Indian board has not announced the name of any replacement player in place of Shreyas Iyer in the ODI series against Australia.
