Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan elected new President of UAE

Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Supreme Council has elected a new president of the United Arab Emirates, with his younger brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan taking over the presidency.

According to details, after the death of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Supreme Council elected Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the President of the United Arab Emirates.

In this regard, Arab media say that the Supreme Council has elected Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed as the President of the United Arab Emirates, who is also his younger brother. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed thanked the Supreme Council for electing him as President.

He said that he appreciated the confidence of the Emirati Supreme Council and the development and prosperity of the country would be a priority for him.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Army, assumed the office of President today. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, 61, is the third elected President of the UAE.
