Shazam Updates: Now “Trying More” to Recognize Songs

Apple improved the Shazam Music Recognition Service, which it originally acquired in 2018.

According to today’s Shazam update notes, the app’s listening technology It’s been updated to “try harder” and “longer” to recognize what’s playing.

Now Shazam finds more songs, pushing harder and longer. Click on Shazam and try it out! »says Apple.

It’s normal for Shazam to be able to identify any song that’s playing in a few seconds, but that’s not always the case. With today’s update, The Shazam app will listen longer before giving up.

While the Shazam app for iOS has become more powerful over the years, Apple has also integrated Shazam technology into iOS itself. Last year, Apple added a new Shazam button that can be added to the Control Center.

Third-party apps cannot be integrated into Control Center buttons, so this is an advantage of Shazam being owned by Apple.
