The release date of Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming film ‘Jersey’ has been changed. The filmmakers have decided to change its date just before its premiere. Previously, Jersey was going to be released in theaters on April 14, but now its date has been moved up to April 22, three days before the premiere.

<p style="text alignment: justify;"Sources say Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' has fallen behind southern superstar Yash's 'KGF2' in terms of early booking. According to a report that surfaced on April 9, the KGF Chapter 2 gross advance booking was made at Rs 9.40 crore. Not only this, the net booking of the first day itself is around Rs 8 crore. It has been said in the report that 3.25 lakh tickets for the movie were sold in just 60 hours. In such a situation, it is believed that even before the premiere, the film will make many records in terms of advance bookings.
Sources say that considering the pre-booking of KGF 2 and the huge buzz of this film among the people, the Jersey filmmakers have decided to postpone the release date of this film. In addition to Shahid and Mrinal, Pankaj Kapoor will also play a major role in Jersey. The film is directed by Gowtham Tinanuri.
