Dubai. The ICC has released the latest ranking of female T20 batsmen, in which India’s young batswoman Shefali Verma has once again moved up one place to the top. At the same time, fellow starter Smriti Mandhana slipped to fourth after losing one place.

Australian players Beth Mooney and Meg Lenning are in second and third place respectively. Australian Alyssa Healy is in sixth place. Two New Zealand players are in the top 10. Sophie Devine and Suzy Bates are in fifth and seventh place respectively. Sri Lanka’s Chamari Atapattu has moved up six places to eighth after scoring 221 runs at an average of 55.25 and a strike rate of 185.71 in the Commonwealth Games qualifiers.

England’s Denny Watt has moved up three places to 13th. He scored 70 runs in the first T20 International against Australia. Australia’s Tahila McGrath has jumped 29 places to be in 28th position. She scored an unbeaten 91 from 49 balls against England in Adelaide as Australia chased the target of 170 to record a win. There is no change in the top three players in the bowling ranking. Sophie Ecclestone from England is on top followed by Sarah Glenn.

Shabnam Ismail from South Africa is in third place. Deepti Sharma of India has earned a place to move up to fourth place, beating Megan Schutt of Australia. Not much has changed on the off-road roster, either. Sophie Devine and Natalie Sciver retain the first two places. Deepti Sharma has moved up one place to number three. Pakistan’s Nida Dar and Thailand’s Nataya Bouchetham also gained two places each to be ninth and tenth respectively. Australia’s Ellyse Perry has dropped four places to drop out of the top 10.
