Seljm and Bribon 500, winners of the Concello de Sanxenxo Trophy

This Sunday the last series of the Spanish Cup of the 6 Meter class of 2022 ended in Sanxenxo, which began last March, with the dispute since last Friday of the Sanxenxo Council Trophy. The day has not allowed the Race Committee to start any race since the wind has not established either direction or intensity in any of the race fields planned for this trophy on the Pontevedra estuary. In this way, the provisional classifications from last Saturday were valid for the finals this Sunday, with the Portuguese boat of the Clube Naval de Cascais “Seljm”, by Patrick Monteiro de Barros, as winner in the Open division, while in the Classics division it was the Spanish boat of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, the “Bribon 500″ by José Cusí , skippered by Pedro Campos and Jane Abascal. He demonstrated his potential over the weekend in the two tests carried out, adding two victories.

The awards ceremony held in the afternoon at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo was twice due to the fact that, in addition to the awards ceremony for the Sanxenxo City Council Trophy, it was also the plaques of the Spanish Cup champions. Those in charge of delivering the prizes were the sports councilor of the Sanxenxo Council, Daniel Arosa, the manager of Nauta Sanxenxo, Jesús Quintáns, the president of the 6 Meters class in Spain, Mauricio Sánchez-Bella, the secretary of the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, Isidoro Sabell, and the president of the club Pedro Campos.
