Sebastián Sosa is released conditionally pending trial

His teammates Abel Osorio, José Florentín and Braian Cufré have to wait under house arrest for the hearing. The four are accused of sexually abusing a 24-year-old journalist from Tucumán.

The Uruguayan will benefit from conditional freedom as Judge Eliana Gómez Moreira recognized that he had a “secondary involvement” in the reported crime. The remaining players must establish their residence in the Argentine province of Tucumán until the conclusion of the oral hearing.

Cufré and Florentín are accused of serious sexual abuse and Osorio of sexual abuse with carnal access. Meanwhile, Sosa is under investigation for his secondary involvement in the crime.
