Scottish Prime Minister Hamza Yusuf leading prayers at the Prime Minister’s House

The newly elected Prime Minister of Scotland, Hamza Yusuf, prayed with his family on the first day at the Prime Minister’s House (Bote House). He has shared a picture while leading.

Hamza Yusuf wrote on his Twitter account that my family and I are spending our first night at Bute House today (March 28) after the parliamentary vote.

In another post, Hamza Yusuf said that he met British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak and informed the UK government to respect the democratic wishes of the Scottish people and Parliament.

Hamza Yusuf, who was elected as the Prime Minister in the session of the Scottish Parliament on March 28, is the first Muslim Prime Minister of the country, while he also holds the honors of the country’s youngest member of parliament and the first Muslim minister.

Hamza Yusuf, 37, from Scotland, who won 52 percent of the vote with 26,032 votes, has been elected to lead the Scottish National Party (SNP) following the resignation of Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon in February.

He said in a statement after the results were announced that he was “determined” to give Scotland independence and that our generation would achieve that independence.
