With just four days to go before the start of the PGA Championship, the second major of the year, the world golf ranking (OWGR) can take a new turn in the position of honor. Scottie Scheffler once again threatens Jon Rahm’s number one, and this Sunday could produce the surprised. The American is fourth in the AT&T Byron Nelson with -14, two strokes behind the leading trio of Ryan Palmer, Austin Eckroat and Zecheng Dou, and a victory would see Scheffler reclaim the world throne from a Rahm who is not participating in the tournament.
Scottie started Saturday’s day leading by one stroke, although his third round was his worst of the week over TPC Craig Ranch in Texas (USA). With a card of 71 strokes, par for the field, Scheffler was surpassed by several players who can help him Rahmbo to reach the PGA as number one. Erratic on the greens, the North American signed three birdies and as many bogeys to stay at -14 one day from the resolution of the event.
