Saudi residency and visa: important clarification regarding children of foreigners continues

Riyadh: The Saudi Passport and Immigration Department has issued an important clarification regarding the children of immigrants.

According to Arab media reports, on the Twitter handle of the permit, a foreigner asked what is the maximum age limit for children’s fingerprints in the permit system?

The Saudi Passport Department responded that the mandatory fingerprint limit for children of immigrants is 6 years and up, and that the central system of licenses requires fingerprint feeding to issue and renew residences and exit promises.

The maximum age limit for children of foreigners is six years. Fingerprints for children younger than this do not fall into the mandatory category, but parents can submit if they wish.

It should be noted that under the housing law in the country, the data of local citizens and resident foreigners must be fed into the central system of the Passport Department ‘Licenses’.

Similarly, children of immigrants are also fed into the data system, during which fingerprints are required.

It should be noted that in order to collect data, the process of identification of migrants and citizens through eye reflection and fingerprints is preserved, it is also mandatory for renewal of residence on an annual basis.
