Riyadh: If a person comes to Saudi Arabia on a work visa and does not stay even after two months, will he be fined?

Asked about the permits on Twitter, Saudi officials said that under the Ministry of Manpower, workers on new visas have a probationary period of 90 days.

According to the licenses, the employer is responsible for issuing the worker’s residency before the end of the probationary period during the 90-day period.

It should be noted that the probationary period for foreigners coming to work on a new work visa for the first time in Saudi Arabia is 3 months, during which the employer and the employer have the option to enter into an employment contract at their convenience.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare Population Act, a worker on a new work visa is given the right to review the work according to the nature of the work and the contract and to make a decision within a three-month probationary period. The same right is given to the employer to make a formal agreement after reviewing the quality of work and qualifications of the worker.

By law, the employer is responsible for the work permit and residence fee of the worker, and if it is intended to further increase the probationary period of residence which is 90 days, then the employer obtains the written consent of the worker. Will do, after which it can be extended for another month.

The employer has to pay a fine of five hundred riyals for non-issuance of residency during the probationary period, after which residency is issued, residency is not issued without payment of penalty for delay in issuance of residency.
